Building Widgetizer

For a while now I've been working on Widgetizer, a visual website builder that outputs static sites. No databases, no server-side rendering, no monthly hosting fees that scale with traffic. Just clean HTML, CSS, and the content you put in.

It's built for small businesses who want a professional site without hiring a developer or learning a CMS. Drag, drop, publish. That's it.

I've spent 25 years watching people struggle with tools that were built for developers and marketed to everyone else. Widgetizer is my attempt to fix that.

This blog will be where I share progress, design decisions, and the occasional detour. If you're interested in following along, there's an RSS feed and a newsletter signup on the homepage.

If you're curious, the code is up at github.com/tsiger/widgetizer. Fair warning: it's not ready for prime time yet. But it runs, it builds sites, and you're welcome to poke around.

If you have any thoughts or feedback, I'd love to hear from you. Find me on X or LinkedIn.
